Aluminum Pure shows how good durability can look. Thanks to the mostly untreated surface, Aluminum Pure harmonizes particularly well with concrete walls and natural wood. Compared to an anodized surface, 37% less energy is used during production.

ALUMINUM SHINES WITH MANY POSITIVE PROPERTIES WHEN PROCESSING

Aluminum shines with many positive properties in processing, use and, above all, recycling. The material can be processed again and again without loss. The aluminum is very pleasant to the touch - especially since the light metal adapts particularly well to the ambient temperature.

FSB uses only aluminum with a footprint of 4kg CO₂/kg for its door and window fittings – a quarter of the global average. The new Aluminum Pure surface with its unique, multi-faceted appearance is a symbol of sustainability, as the last three steps of standard aluminum processing are no longer needed.

No dust is released as it would otherwise be by polishing or blasting, and the fittings are not anodized either. This saves water and electricity and makes recycling easier. Compared to the natural anodized aluminum surface, an additional 37 percent of energy is saved.

Aluminum Pure shows how good durability can look. The unique appearance is the result of the unmasked naturalness of the largely untreated surface. The matte and almost "raw" look creates different effects depending on the atmosphere and interior design concept. For example, Aluminum Pure blends in particularly harmoniously with exposed concrete walls and natural wood.

Handles made of aluminum acquire charisma and charm over the years: Since the surface is not protected by an anodized layer, the handle surface changes over time. Architects already know and appreciate this patina that occurs when used in FSB products made of bronze.

FSB offers three product collections in pure aluminum finish - including the designs FSB 1289, FSB 1292 and FSB 1267, the latter of which pays tribute to the handle design of architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

MADE BY HANDS - WITH PASSION

FSB's quality requirements can be exemplified by a process that has been perfected over decades, where products are cast from aluminum heated to 660 degrees Celsius. The light metal is removed with a ladle and formed by gravity casting, the aluminum fills the mold cavity by gravity alone.

After cooling, the casting is checked, the inlet is removed and recycled, the blank is ground by hand and passed on for surface treatment. The accuracy typical of FSB is created in trovalization drums.

Radii and edges are carefully machined with small ceramic cones. Depending on the customer's wishes, the surface is polished or blasted, and for colored models, the surface is anodized, powder coated or left as is.
