Lacquered wooden windows
We can deliver our windows in 17 exclusive lacquers, on solid oak or pine. You can order our lacquered oak and pine windows with completely knot and joint-free A-surfaces, but also sorting with visible joints. On darker lacquers, it is sometimes reasonable to choose a slightly cheaper sort. Visit one of our exhibitions around Sweden and we will tell you more.
Constructive wood protection
Constructive wood protection is a key word in our product development. Constructive wood protection is about the product being manufactured with regard to the external factors that affect the product over time. It may seem obvious but something that many do not live up to. Mounting the glass strip on the inside is constructive wood protection, you then avoid moisture getting into the wooden construction. Designing a drip nose with regard to capillary force, instead of an ordinary saw groove to mount the window panes in, is another example of constructive wood protection. The fact that we only use 3-layer glued and twig-clean wood to avoid twig bleeding, which can damage the color film, is also a choice based on the long-term constructive wood protection.
Durable wooden windows
Ekstrands can today deliver a genuine wooden window that is completely free of aluminum and lead and which also has market-leading thermal insulation capacity and a unique painting guarantee. We have been using solvent-free surface treatment and impregnation for more than 30 years. We have proven that it is possible to combine high quality with environmental awareness and long-term sustainability.
Windows in solid oak
Oak is a hard and very durable wood. We manufacture exclusive wooden windows in 3-layer glued solid oak. Timber and joint sorting control the price, where completely joint-free A-surfaces are the most exclusive. A wooden window from Ekstrands is a craft with a market-leading technological level, the U-value of EC/90 wood is 0.77W/(m²K). A solid oak window from Ekstrands can be delivered in 14 exclusive lacquers.
Windows in solid pine
Ekstrand's solid pine windows are made of 3-layer glued twigs with completely seamless A-surfaces, an exclusive window in furniture quality. You can choose between 18 exclusive glazes but also 2-color painting where the outside has a different color or aluminum cladding.

Maintenance of oak windows
Maintaining an oak door with oil every year is manageable, it does not take long. On the other hand, maintaining windows for an entire villa is demanding and something that is not manageable for most people. We therefore advise against oiled windows. The glaze that Ekstrands offers for windows is long-term durable and with very little maintenance. Ekstrands also provides a 3-year unconditional warranty on the color film, a warranty we are completely unique on.
